* How do they do that? (Shaped Wedding Rings)

When ordering a bespoke piece of jewellery, sometimes it is very difficult for the customer to be able to imagine what the finished piece of jewellery is going to look like, and that can make the process quite daunting for the customer, especially when it is costing several hundreds of pounds.
In true Taylor and Whitlock tradition we now have yet another way in which to enhance and improve our customer service….. The Project Blog!
So we are now going to use the blog to display the various techniques of makeing a shaped wedding ring to fit exactly into our customers existing solitaire ring.
I will also invite the customers comments to ensure that the finished piece of jewellery is EXACTLY what she had in mind.
In this first process you can see that we have melted the customers solitaire deep into the wax tube.
Next we have to carefully remove the surplus wax from the sides and inside the ring then very gently prise them apart without damaging the wax.
Once this has been done we can then file down the wax to slightly oversized dimentions of the finished piece. The pictures below show the finished wax and how it fits with the solitaire ring
Please let me know what you think.
Thank you Mike looks lovely sorry for the late reply please go ahead look forward to seeing the next stage.

Ok so now we have the wax pattern cast in the metal of the customers choice, in this case it is 18 carat white gold.
Once cast we hallmark then fine tune the fit to the engagement ring then finish and polish
So now we have a fully fitted wedding band and we just need to ad the final finishing touch that the customer has requested….. Diamonds!
So there you have it, a bespoke piece of jewellery that is totally unique in every way.
Thank you mike looks lovely cant wait to try it on x
